Data Protection and Cookie Management

The present policies of Personal Data Protection and Cookie Management are detailed and applied by EcoLearn in the course of its business activity in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 applicable since May 25, 2018.

Art. 1 l Definitions

Customer means the User who is going to contract one or more offers proposed on the Website.
Services means all the Services that correspond to the offers, products, services, tools and functionalities.
Website means the website, the Internet site of the EcoLearn brand, accessible in web format via ecolearn.com.
User means any person who visits the Website and/or uses the features of the ecolearn.com Website.

Art. 2 l Personal data

Art. 2.1 l Purpose of the processing

All information provided by Users to EcoLearn is strictly confidential. This information is necessary for the purpose of its processing, namely:

  • management of the relations maintained with the Users;
  • Personalization of communication with Users;
  • improving the customer experience;
  • to put you in touch with partners offering their Services, and potentially to send you e-mails for prospecting purposes.

Art. 2.2 l Appropriateness of Information Collected

EcoLearn collects and processes personal data fairly and lawfully. The data collected is relevant, consistent and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is collected.

Art. 2.3 l Retention of Personal Data

EcoLearn retains the personal data of all Users. It is the User’s responsibility to request the deletion of his/her personal data by e-mail: hello@ecolearn.com

Art. 2.4 l Restricted access to data

Access to personal data is governed by EcoLearn, which defines the access and confidentiality rules applicable to the personal data processed.

In accordance with Article 6 of the Law of June 21, 2004 for confidence in the digital economy, the host will keep the connection data of the users of the Site, covered by professional secrecy and processed in compliance with the legal provisions on personal data when this data allows the identification of users of the Site.

Art. 2.5 l Security and confidentiality

EcoLearn implements the means to protect the processing of personal data to avoid any access by unauthorized third parties and to prevent any loss, alteration or disclosure of data.

Art. 2.6 l Information and rights of users

Prior to the implementation of its processing, at the time of the User’s arrival on the Site and at the latest when the User registers on our Site by accepting our Terms of Use, EcoLearn informs the Users of the purpose of the processing of their personal data, of the recipients of such processing as well as of their rights.

EcoLearn implements the means to ensure that Users can access, rectify and delete their personal data when they request it. Data may be rectified, completed, updated, locked or deleted when it is inaccurate, incomplete, equivocal, outdated or when its collection, use, communication or storage is prohibited.

In accordance with the French law known as “Informatique et Libertés” n°78-17 of January 6, 1978, the User has the right to access, rectify and oppose information concerning him/her by contacting

However, it is necessary to provide proof of identity or other proof of identity in order to avoid deleting the data of a homonym who has not requested it.

EcoLearn will have one month following receipt of the request to provide the requested information or to complete or delete it, as the case may be.

In the event of a request for deletion of Data, it is however specified that the Data may be kept in the archives to meet legal obligations in terms of proof and security.

Art. 3 l Management of Cookies

Art. 3.1 l What is a cookie?

A “cookie” is a connection indicator that designates a text file that may be recorded, subject to the User’s choice, in a dedicated space on the hard disk of the User’s Terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone, telephone, etc.), when consulting an online service on the Site.


A Cookie file allows its sender to identify the Terminal in which it is saved, for the duration of the validity or saving of the Cookie.


When consulting the Website, information relating to the User’s Terminal navigation on ecolearn.com may be recorded in “Cookies” files installed on the User’s Terminal, subject to the User’s own choices concerning Cookies, which may be modified at any time.

Art. 3.2 l What is the purpose of cookies on our EcoLearnwebsite ? 

When the User connects to the ecolearn.comWebsite , EcoLearn may install, subject to the User’s choices, various cookies in the User’s Terminal that allow the User’s browser to be recognized during the period of validity of the cookie concerned. The cookies issued are used for the purposes described below, subject to the User’s choices, which result from the settings of his/her browser software used during the visit(s) to the ecolearn.com Website.

Art. 3.3.1 l Cookies strictly necessary for the functioning of the Site

These cookies allow the User to access reserved and personal areas of the ecolearn.com website , such as a customer account, thanks to identifiers or data that may have been previously entrusted to them.


These cookies are useful for implementing security measures, for example when the User is asked to connect again to a content or service after a while or when the User wishes to return to his or her unpaid cart.


If the User deactivates these cookies, the ecolearn.com website cannot function properly.

Art. 3.3.2 l Functionality cookies

Functionality cookies are not necessary for the User’s navigation on the ecolearn.com website . On the other hand, feature cookies allow to optimize the functioning of theecolearn.com website and to access a smoother navigation corresponding to the needs of the Users. These cookies are deposited by EcoLearn for a maximum life span of thirteen months. Personalization cookies of the Contents and of the User Experience, they allow to collect or to establish :

Art. 3.3.3 l Cookies for audience measurement (Google Analytics)

These cookies collect anonymous information about how Users use the ecolearn.com Site and monitor the performance of the Site. For example, performance cookies indicate which pages are popular on the Site, monitor Site traffic, and compile anonymous analytical information. Performance cookies may also be used to identify and fix problems with the operation of the Site and to improve the usefulness and usability of the Services.

Art. 3.3.4 l Sharing cookies

The ecolearn.com Website includes third party computer applications, which allow Users to share the content of the Website with other people or to let these other people know about the User’s consultation or opinion regarding the content of the Website or of the EcoLearn Applications.

This may include, for example, “Share”, “Like”, etc. buttons from Social Networks such as “Facebook”, “Twitter”, “Linkedin”, etc.

The social network providing such an application button is likely to identify the User thanks to this button, even if this button had not yet been used by the User when consulting the Site or the EcoLearn Applications. Indeed, this type of application button may allow the Social Network concerned to follow the User’s browsing on the ecolearn.com Website, due to the fact that the User’s account with the Social Network concerned was activated on his Terminal (open session) while browsing on the ecolearn.com Website.
EcoLearn has no control over the process used by social networks to collect information about the User’s browsing on our Website and to associate personal data with them. EcoLearn invites the User to consult the Privacy Policies of these social networks in order to learn about the purposes of use, including advertising, of the browsing information they may collect through these application buttons. These Protection Policies must notably allow the User to exercise his own choices with these social networks, notably by setting up his own user accounts on each of these networks.

Art. 3.3.5 l Advertising cookies

These are cookies deposited by third-party companies and solutions (e.g. partners) to identify Users’ interests and possibly personalize the advertising offer sent to them on and off our ecolearn.comSite . They may be deposited by the sites of commercial partners when the User clicks on the advertising spaces of the ecolearn.com Site . This type of cookie may enable the commercial partners concerned to track the User’s browsing preferences. Refusing advertising cookies has no impact on the use of the ecolearn.com website .
